When I spotted these pencil-shaped erasers at the Target dollar spot, I knew they would be perfect for creating a game board. And I knew the stackable erasers would make the perfect game pieces, too! Add a few crayons, and it made for an instant DIY Chutes and Ladders game that could be set up in about one minute! To determine which crayon is a chute and which is a ladder, simply follow the direction that the crayon tip is facing!
If you don’t have fun-shaped erasers, you can also download our printable school-themed version of Chutes and Ladders.
Conversation Starter
To make the game even more meaningful, consider inviting your family members to share ups and downs of school each time their game pieces climb or slide down a crayon on the game board.
